Jia Liu is a Professor in Finance at the University of Salford, UK. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Birmingham, UK. Her research covers a wide range of areas with focus on Corporate Finance, Behaviour Finance, Climate/Green Finance, Capital Market and Microstructure, Internet Finance and Big Data, Empirical Asset Pricing, CSR and Environment, Social and Governance. She has widely published in leading Accounting, Finance and Business journals, such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, European Journal of Finance, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, British Accounting Review, International Business Review, British Journal of Management, and others. Her research has won prestigious awards, including the British Academy of Management, European Management Journal, and Southwest Finance Association (SWFA) Best Paper Prizes. She is Associate Editor of several ABS-3 and 4-rated journals, including the British Journal of Management, British Accounting Review, International Review of Financial Analysis, Corporate Governance: An International Review, among others. She is also Guest Editor of a number of journals. She is the Chair of Corporate Finance and Asset Pricing SIG, the British Accounting and Finance Association and Corporate Governance SIG, The British Academy of Management. She helps formulate public policy and vigorously stimulates academic debates, encouraging new thinking and innovation among the accounting, finance, and business management communities. She has been frequently invited as Visiting Professor by universities in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
